A method is developed for determining the loading on low-aspect-ratio wings. By allowing for down stream effects on the flow at a station on the wing and for the trailing-edge condition, the method improves on R. T. Jones's theory for wings of very small aspect ratio. Calculations have been made for thirteen different wings and a comparison with other methods of solution is given for some cases. |
