dc.description.abstract	A calculation of the complete downwash in three dimensions due to a rectangular vortex, is given for the limited range Z = ± 4. The downwash is computed at selected positions, in planes normal to the plane of the vortex; these planes are spaced at even integral multiples of the semi-width of the vortex, measured from the line of symmetry. Values are tabulated for Z in the range (0,4) and a set of graphs is also included for 0 < Z < 2; they are to be used in conjunction with the 'Tables of Complete Downwash due to a Rectangular Vortex' (R. & M. 2461).	en_US
