| dc.description.abstract | Some of the characteristics of jet-lift V/STOL aircraft are discussed in terms of their effect on the ability of these aircraft to operate from small, semi-prepared sites, without the usual airfield facilities, in both good and bad visibility. Accumulated experience from experimental operations with jet-lift aircraft has been used as a basis for a tentative extrapolation to situations and conditions not yet (in 1964) examined in flight. | en_US |
