| dc.description.abstract | An algebraic solution is given for the problem of ascertaining the probability of finding any number of fatigue cracks in a fleet of aircraft at any specific point in time. By a simple approximation concerning the fatigue damage incurred by the members of the fleet the solution is simplified into a working method for the determination of the aforesaid probability. With two parameters arbitrarily chosen, results are given to illustrate the nature of the solution. | en_US |
