It contains information on equipment including aircraft and weapons fact sheets, profiles and a glossary of terms. There are details on Squadrons, the locations of Royal Air Force stations, and an explanation of command and rank structures. There is also a news section that provides information on current operations and deployments, events, images and appointments. The downloads section allows access to full text documents such as the British Air Power Doctrine AP3000, the NATO Air to Air Refuelling Document, and Future Air and Space Operational Concept, and public information and aircraft and equipment videos. There is also a history section that covers the origins of the RAF, RAF Squadron histories, aircraft histories and other topics relating to the history of the RAF. Wings for Freedom : The History and Heritage of Canada's Air Force This site plots the history of the Canadian Air Force. It is divided into five main sections; formation 1914-1938, war years 1939-1945, Cold War 1946-1968, unification 1969-1996, and the present. Each section contains an overview of events during the period, aircraft datafiles and profiles, photographs, details on squadrons and stations both at home and overseas, and articles and stories. |
