Education and research - further education Association of Military Colleges and Schools of the United States (AMCSUS) A non-profit organisation which provides information on American schools and colleges which provide programs approved by the Department of Defense. The site provides access to its member schools through internet links and gives address details. Canadian Forces Peace Support Training Centre The Centre prepares Canadian Forces personnel for deployment on peacekeeping missions and operations other than war. Its mission is to provide a centre of expertise within the Canadian Forces for the development of peace support techniques based on training methodologies and standards, lessons learned and providing training and support. The site provides information on the PSTC, its mission and its courses. There is also access to full text documents including; the Peace Support Operations Field Book, Pre-Deployment Information, Preparing for Deployment Stress and Preparing for Critical Incident Stress. A French language site is also available. History Guide: Lectures on Twentieth Century Europe Targeted at A'level and undergraduate students, this web site provides two lectures: 'The Russian Revolution, February-October 1917'; 'Red October and the Bolshevik Coup'. Hyperlinks lead the user to other useful sites and further information. Russian Revolutionaries Although aimed primarily at school students, this web site provides a useful and detailed account of the Russian Revolution. A comprehensive menu links to key issues and events, important historical figures, political groups, and an extensive list of links to other relevant web sites. |
